Summary:

The Application Specialist manages IT projects as assigned by the IT Director. This person will be the technical liaison between all business units and the IT department and will work to resolve and coordinate software installations, upgrades, and new software initiatives with experience of programming.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Able to provide support for all core business applications (Property Management Systems (PMS), DMC Systems, POS, eCommerce, Time and Attendance, Payroll, IPTV etc.) and general Business Systems.
• Manage project development from initiation to closure
• Work with project team(s) to outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and timing.
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to prioritize work to resolve technical emergencies as they may occur.
• Able to ensure 7x24x365 system uptime for core business applications.
• Provide programming and report writing support.
• Provides first level and second level technical support during extended business hours and weekends for retail stores.
• Perform duties and projects as assigned.
• Willing to travel.

• Software Development across various Business Units
• PMS – Opera Cloud
• Point-of-Sale knowledge (Micros & other hospitality systems)
• DMC Systems
• SQL knowledge, Oracle
• C#, .Net Framework, Entity Framework, JavaScript
• IPTv system

Remuneration can be negotiated based upon experience and qualifications.

Education/Experience:

• 3 to 5 years minimum experience in IT application development projects.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience with .NET Framework Languages and technologies ( .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#.NET, VB.NET, WPF, WinForms, ASP.NET, NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET  Web API related technologies)
• Experience with Object Oriented Design and concepts
• Knowledge and experience in Front end web technologies such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery is definitely advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in designing and implementing relational databases such as MSSQL, Sybase, MySQL. Should be very fluent in SQL and techniques such as Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Indexes etc.
• Experience and knowledge in reporting tools such as SSRS, Telerik reports, Crystal reports, Jasper Reports.
• Knowledge of WMS, CRM, SCM, and BI
• Software testing, documentation, and version control systems such as TFS, SVN, GIT
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Strong vendor management skills
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
• Excellent facilitation skills in a small team setting
• Strong attention to detail
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
