Job Summary
Basically, the job is to prepare the menus, cook and oversee the service, for excursions on board the Mason’s Travel boats.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Liaise with the Supervisor regarding menus.
- Prepare all the menu dishes within the company’s time limits and standards.
- Prepare and oversee the service on board.
- Keep the working areas and equipment clean and hygienic
- Adhere to the National Health & Safety policies, procedures and regulations.
Remuneration can be negotiated based upon experience and qualifications.
Training
- On-the-job training
- ISO 9001-2008 Awareness Training
- Induction Training
Qualifications
- Preferably, but not necessarily a graduate of the Seychelles Tourism Academy.
- Knowledge of and experience in different types of Cuisines.
- Knowledge/awareness of Health & Safety aspects in connection with the job.
- Creative & imaginative.
Experience
- At least two years’ experience as a Cook in the Tourism Industry.
Other Skills and requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
- Organised, methodical and above all safety conscious.
- Calm, patient, flexible & active with high levels of energy & plenty of initiative.
