Job Summary

Basically, the job is to prepare the menus, cook and oversee the service, for excursions on board the Mason’s Travel boats.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Supervisor regarding menus.
  • Prepare all the menu dishes within the company’s time limits and standards.
  • Prepare and oversee the service on board.
  • Keep the working areas and equipment clean and hygienic
  • Adhere to the National Health & Safety policies, procedures and regulations.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Preferably, but not necessarily a graduate of the Seychelles Tourism Academy.
  • Knowledge of and experience in different types of Cuisines.
  • Knowledge/awareness of Health & Safety aspects in connection with the job.
  • Creative & imaginative.

Experience

  • At least two years’ experience as a Cook in the Tourism Industry.

Other Skills and requirements:

  • Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
  • Organised, methodical and above all safety conscious.
  • Calm, patient, flexible & active with high levels of energy & plenty of initiative.
